One of many healthy toddler foods recipes on Healthy Little Plate: Avocado Mayonnaise. Quick, delicious and healthy!

There is something about dipping sauce that kids (or us adults too ^^) seems to love soooooo much. I don’t know about yours but my 2-year-old would literally dip anything in this Avocado Mayonnaise & enjoy it to the fullest. First off, this is not a mayonnaise recipe that is filled with processed oil, eggs and preservatives (so no worries!) In fact, it contains none of the mentioned ingredients at all. And it takes about 2 minutes to whip this whole thing up. I reckon that this Avocado Mayonnaise is the closet healthy replacement to their store-sold counterpart. It has the same smooth texture with a bit of zingy surprise under taste thanks to the garlic. I like to add a bit of hemp seeds on top for some extra protein.

You will be surprised how versatile this Avocado Mayonnaise is. You can serve it along side some fresh vegetables (my favorite way to make Angela eat more veggies) or homemade crackers. It goes very well with some chicken nuggets and sweet potato chips too. And if you happen to make a bit too much then you can throw the rest into your green smoothie.

Avocado Mayonnaise that is full of goodness can you believe it?

Avocado Mayonnaise Recipe

  • 1 fully ripe avocado
  • 1 1/2  tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. coconut juice (I used fresh young coconut juice)
  • A few cilantro leaves
  • 1/3 tsp. fresh minced garlic (or less if you like it less zingy)
  • A pinch of pink salt
  • A pinch of coconut sugar

  1. Remove avocado skin and seed. Transfer to your blender together with the lemon juice and coconut juice. Blend up.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend up on high until very silky smooth.
  3. Top with some hemp seeds and serve immediately. If there is leftover, make sure you cover it well and chill it in your fridge.
